The First Source Jobs Program is a new subcontractor on the Massachusetts Learning Employment Asset Building Program (MassLEAP) project.MassLeap is a partnership between the Somerville Housing AuthorityOne Family and Somerville Community Corporation. The partnership provides a comprehensive set of services and asset development opportunities that will increase family economic stability over five years for:

  1. Eligible residents of state-aided public housing developments.
  2. Massachusetts Rental Voucher Program participants.

This project will help our First Source staff deepen SCC’s connection to serving low-income residents and connecting them to good jobs. SCC was originally contracted through the Massachusetts Department of Housing and Community Development to provide one-on-one financial counseling and financial literacy classes.

Somerville sits on the original homelands of the Massachusett, Wampanoag, Naumkeag, and Nipmuc tribal nations. We acknowledge the painful history of genocide and forced removal from this territory, and we honor and respect the many diverse Indigenous peoples still connected to this land on which we live and work.
