First Source provides tools and resources to ensure participants have the skills to not only obtain employment but become great employees.  Our Career Coaches speak English, Spanish, Haitian Creole, Portuguese and French.  This allows each participant to be paired with a coach who speaks the language they are most comfortable with as they assist them on their journey. First Source also works with Resource partners who offer additional training service to our participants.  All of First Source services are free of charge regardless of your immigration, family or financial status.

The First Source Philosophy of Career Coaching:

The coach’s job is to ask questions, help clarify your goals, identify what is important to you, and help you stay on track to achieve those goals. The role of the coach is different from consulting, advising, therapy, or counseling. However, coaching may address personal issues or life conditions that impact your ability to achieve your desired career or continuing educational goals.

Somerville sits on the original homelands of the Massachusett, Wampanoag, Naumkeag, and Nipmuc tribal nations. We acknowledge the painful history of genocide and forced removal from this territory, and we honor and respect the many diverse Indigenous peoples still connected to this land on which we live and work.
