2015 Save Our Homes Walk — May 17th. Help SCC Keep Somerville Residents in their Homes

The 12th Annual Save Our Homes Walk will take place on Sunday, May 17th! Together with the Somerville Homeless Coalition, our goal is to raise $30,000 in grants to help people with security deposits, back rent, utility bills, and moving costs related to stabilizing housing.

SCC members join with other organizations and residents in this 5K walk to raise money to support our friends and neighbors who find themselves behind in their rent and at risk of becoming homeless as a result. Often, a small amount of money can make the difference between keeping someone in safe, decent housing, versus living on the street, homeless.

On May 17th, join us for a fun, festive afternoon with a nice walk through Somerville neighborhoods, and know that you are helping your fellow neighbors stay in their homes.

Join Team SCC! Help us reach our fundraising goal to prevent and end homelessness.

Somerville sits on the original homelands of the Massachusett, Wampanoag, Naumkeag, and Nipmuc tribal nations. We acknowledge the painful history of genocide and forced removal from this territory, and we honor and respect the many diverse Indigenous peoples still connected to this land on which we live and work.
